Crime Scene Investigation

So there has been a strange smell in my house for a week or so. It’s kind of a musty smell, so I thought it might have been my “Grandpa Incident”. I decided that wasn’t it, but I couldn’t figure it out so I just ended up getting some really powerful air fresheners.

On Thursday, a package came for my neighbor. This is really unusual because the owners of the house attached to mine (I live in a duplex), don’t live there, even though they’ve owned it for about four years. So I took the package off their front steps to put it in the space between their front door and screen door. It didn’t fit. But I had noticed something strange — when I opened the screen door, I smelled a dead smell. It got me thinking about how there has been a truck in front of my neighbor’s house for a long time. In fact, it has been sitting in the exact same place for over three weeks. Then I wondered… did someone die next door? It would explain the truck, the smell behind their screen door, and the smell in my house…

THE EVIDENCE:
The Truck
Exhibit Number One.

The Smell Behind Their Door
Exhibit Number Two

The Smell In My House
Exhibit Number Three

UPDATE: As of this morning, the package is gone. Someone took it. Is this an indication of a cover-up? The investigation will continue…

If you know what’s good for you, you’ll stop nosing around so much.

You and that pesky cat of yours too!
