My trip to Nebraska was eventful, but not bad. The line to check baggage in the morning was crazy long. The plane out of Baltimore was delayed an hour and a half. Fortnately, my connecting flight was delayed an hour. It all worked out! My first flight was very bumpy, but I didn’t freak out or get sick — very different from my usual. The flight from Chicago to Lincoln was very smooth and very quick.
My luggage didn’t make it to Lincoln though. It stayed in Chicago. I talked to the lady and filed the form, but I have no idea when it will come. All my toiletries are in it, thanks to the stupid liquid restrictions. And all my Christmas presents for my family. Grrr… I’m sad because I don’t have my presents. I’m angry because if it weren’t for the crazy, stupid security rules I would never have checked a bag to begin with. I would have shipped my presents by UPS. Grrr…
This should be a fun day anyway… Christmas church is going to be “Lessons and Carols”. I love that! Then we’ll hang out, then we’ll have prime rib, then we’ll have some present opening. Maybe if I’m lucky, my suitcase will be delivered during the day today.
My “lost baggage” form:
I’m so sorry!! There are some bad emergency presents in those green tubs in the guest room if you want to unload …er, give them to your family.
