Christmas Day was great fun! The “Lessons and Carols” service was very good. After church, we had grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup… Mmmm… I called the “Delayed Luggage” number and found out my suitcase would be coming in at 6pm — in time for present opening. Yay! Then we all took naps. When we woke up, we got a call from United Airlines that said the suitcase was coming within half an hour. It was there by two. Yay! After wrapping presents, we went on over to brother Brent and Sandra’s.
It’s become a Royuk Christmas tradition to have prime rib for Christmas dinner. My dad concocts a special spice rub, then puts it in the oven for hours and hours. It was awesome! And GIANT! Here’s a pic (with obilgatory quarter).
After eating, we opened presents. The big hit of the year were the personal DVD players that Grandpa and Grandma gave all the grandkids. Anna is enjoying hers in the background of this picture…
Besides that, Daniel particularly enjoyed the ball-bearing-bouncing game he got. Here he is showing Grandpa his prowess at the game. It’s a lot like skee-ball, except you bounce the balls on a little trampoline thingy. The game keeps track of and announces your score for each round.
I’m so glad to hear that your presents came through – hooray for the airline system for fixing their problems! I love the sign, too. Who made it?
(We would be uploading stuff on our site, but we can’t get to the ‘login’ button. Go figure.)
hi what is the name of that bearing game? plz reply or send an email thanks.
Hi James. I don’t remember the name of the game. I see the box for it on the table in the third picture, but I can’t make out the name. Can you? Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
