Lunch View

We teachers have an awesome view at lunchtime right now. There’s an old cherry tree right out the window of the teachers’ lunchroom. It blooms this time of year and makes eating lunch an absolute pleasure. Check it out:

Some people might pay for such a view. Hmmm... Could I get them to pay ME?

Now if only that nice lunch time weren’t interrupted by a bunch of rowdy kids…

ANNOUNCEMENT: Watch Oprah today. Kim is in the audience! She got tickets for her birthday. She left for the airport right after school yesterday. Cool! I think I heard that she’d be wearing green.

So what are you eating for your lunch as you gaze upon such beauty?

    • Brad

Yesterday for lunch I had about 25 Munchkins from Dunkin Donuts.

      • Michele

        Pig!

Quit gloating – Dunkin’Donuts hoard. They need to build one here, in Nebraska, where they’ll be truly appreciated and savored…

Nice view, nice breeze, and really 25 munchkins only equals about 4 regular donuts … not bad for an entire lunch (unless it was munchkin people from dunkin donuts you devoured, that would be filling)

But I do hate you for having a cold room!!!

    Oprah Update~

We taped a Mother’s Day show that will be aired next Friday, right before Mother’s Day. (for Brad…not in two days…but in 9)
Maria Shriver was Oprah’s guest. She is tiny with a big head of hair! The show was about Maria interviewing Demi Moore and Vanessa Williams about Motherhood. And then Oprah and Maria would discuss things in between segments.

But then Oprah changed her clothes and we filmed a segment where a mom who was serving on the USS Eisenhower came and surprised her husband and three kids in the studio…tissues! Because of a reading program the mom participated in, we got little back packs with children’s books and….a $50 Target card! Awesome!

I don’t know if we will be on the air, but I was wearing a pink jacket with a green blouse and my sister was wearing sky blue. It was a very interesting day!

And from the looks of things on e-mail, it was an interesting day at school. Yippee.
