My parents invited us to go to something called Jazz in June. It’s a series of outdoor Jazz concerts held on the campus of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Last night’s presentation was of the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra. Their guest artist was Angela Hagenbach. It was quite fun. We brought some picnic-type foods and some lawn chairs and blankets. We also visited the food vendors. I got cinnamon almonds and cotton candy. Mmm…
Here’s Angela signing, accompanied by keyboard and egg shaker.

But the crowd really stole the show. If I could, I would’ve turned around and faced them. Such interesting people…
Here’s a dreadlock guy Lloyd and Lauren thought they knew. It turns out, it wasn’t him.

Here’s a guy wearing a velvet shirt. We thought it was snazzy, but it looks too warm.

Even Santa was there!

I wondered if this was some substitute for holding hands.

Is that girl holding his pocket or his arse? I hope I never have enough meat back there for someone to grab hold!
The concert looks like fun. If it were held here in Baltimore last night, it would have been hot, humid, sticky, buggy … a totally different experience I bet!
While I didn’t attend the concert myself, I’m pretty sure it was hot, humid, sticky and buggy here last night, too. At least Seward was. Lincoln is 24 miles away, and in Nebraska that could mean there was snow in Lincoln…crazy weather…
Nope, there was a pleasent breeze, it didn’t seem humid at all and the only bug of consiquence crawled into your dad’s ear and gave Lauren the heeblie-jeeblies.
*shudder*
I think that girl is a badly skilled pickpocket. That’s not how you steal wallets!
She can pick my pocket any time.
Especially when you can clearly see that his wallet is in the other pocket …
Looks like a good time! Is Lincoln the new Disneyworld?
And Brad — this isn’t the first time you’ve run into Santa, is it? He does’t look very happy here … I guess he had to add alot of people to the naughty list … including those taking pictures of innocent strangers!
Helloooo, thanks alot….hey! I bet Annette would have liked to go…..
