Yesterday I finished connecting the water line to Harold and Beth’s refrigerator ice maker. I had started Thursday, but couldn’t find the water supply line I wanted. That was why I went to Lincoln on Thursday. And of course there was another part I needed, so off to Lincoln again. Lauren needed some more foam star stamps, so she went too. When we got back, I put the new part on, and turned on the water. Voila! Ice! (I think. I haven’t checked yet.)
Then last night, we all went to my mom and dad’s house for a Mexican fiesta dinner. It was delicious, and everybody was there, so it was a party. After eating, we all watched the kids feed a kitten in the back yard. The kitten didn’t have a collar, so we wondered if he was stray. He sure was hungry. Here he is gnawing on a corncob.

And of course we had to hold him.

Heck with the “crazy ear hair” – what’s the wild paint job in front of you two in the second picture: a surf board? a table top? somebody just went nuts wiht a bottle of White Out?! (Seemed the trend here to comment more on background floors and tables than on primary sbject material, so I’m merely trying to fit that pattern. Kitty IS adorable – wonder if anyone is naming it anything yet or is afraid of becoming attached once that happens? Hmmm…it looks fairly “attached” already, Brad. How would Ned take it if…? And what ARE Midwest Airline’s rules on exporting cats from Nebraska to Maryland?)
I love that cat. We had a big ol’ contest to name it. In the running: Wolfgang, Jack, Dexter, Clint Eastwood (nicknames – Clint or Woody), Jaegermeister…. and I forget. I did have a margarita, after all.
I vote for Jack, but I’m probably biased about since that’s the name of our grey kitty.
This is going to sound awful, but I must say it. The first picture of unnamed kitty looks like Brad has knocked it off. The head is tilted, the mouth slightly open, eyes appear closed. Thankfully, I read the post and discovered that the mighty Brad has SAVED the kitty. Good for you, Brad.
Hey … this wasn’t here when I commented … we had to have been typing and “whewing” at the same time!
WHEW! I thought this story was about to take a really ugly turn after seeing the 1st picture … “here kids go distract, I mean feed, the starving kitty this, while I go get a shovel, I mean a saucer of milk” said Uncle Brad.
Glad to see you lovin’ it in the 2nd pic., you secret animal lover, you!
How about Pablo, in honor of your Mexican party! O’lay!
I must say, I find it interesting that there’s a picture of a cat eating corn on the cob, and that’s the description you have for Lauren and Lloyd’s blog. Hmmm… Seems like a bit for foreshadowing, no?
Can you guess who gave the kitty corn on the cob? (hee hee)
I added LloydAndLauren.com after their first post. Check out the picture:

Hey, that was 3 days before Anna was dropped off on our doorstep by the stork!
