I went grocery shopping yesterday. I wanted to get some salad ingredients. I also needed milk and some more cereal. I went to the big grocery store in town because I would need Gorgonzola cheese for my salad and the smaller grocery store wouldn’t have it. As it turns out, the bigger grocery store didn’t have it either. I had to substitute Blue cheese in my salad.
The bigger problem was the cereal. I believe cereal falls into four categories: chocolaty, fruity, healthy, and blond. Blond cereals are things like Honeycomb, Corn Pops, and Cap’n Crunch. Healthy cereals are things like Cheerios, Life, and Raisin Bran. Fruity and chocolaty are self-explanatory. It’s chocolaty that I’ve been craving since I came to Seward. What I really want is Count Chocula, but I can’t find it. I’ve been to WalMart’s grocery section and to the smaller grocery store in town. Yesterday at the larger grocery store I looked for Count Chocula. It wasn’t there. No Count Chocula in an isle full of cereals.
I guess I’ll have to go to Lincoln.
In the meantime, I got some Cocoa Krispies to tide me over.

I can’t believe that they can have six different kinds of Cheerios and no Count Chocula! What kind of country is this?? What are they doing to our freedoms???
Wow… I forgot how much choice you have in America…
I should send you a photo of the cereal aisle of my store.
You have a whole aisle for both brands of muslix?
Actually we have 5!!! Ok, same brand… different ‘flavours’.
I laughed and laughed at the quotes around flavours. Good show ol’ bean.
