Yesterday was our last day of school before Thanksgiving break. Woo hoo! It was a crazy day, so after standing around in a stupor for a while after school, I came home to relax before my Tuesday night TV. Checking the mail shot me right out of my grogginess. There was a TON of stuff to look at: four catalogs, and a Reporter! I will read these before going to sleep at night. I get through about four pages and then start falling asleep. Since they’re glossy pages, it’s okay if I sleep face down on them and drool.
Restoration Harware sends me catalogs because I got my kitchen cabinet handles from them.
The Reporter newspaper is something that all LC-MS churchworkers get. I usually read one or two articles and then the “Letters to the Editor.”
I’ve never ordered anything from Design Toscano, but I get their catalog for some reason. It’s fun to look at.
The Sharper Image catalog is full of gadgety goodness.
And the Monastery Icons catalog has such pretty pictures.

Didn’t The Sharper Image buy out Monastery Icons? I really like their St. Anthony back massager!
HA! We laugh now, but when it really DOES happen…I’m going straight for the electrically-heated St. Francis pet water dishes myself.
And have you seen the latest from Hammaker Schlemmer?! A voice-activated R2D2 for your very own! [They are smart enough to NOT put a price in the newspaper ad, though...]
Tis’ the catalog season! I too received the Sharper Image catalog for the first time ever – did you stick my name on some mailing list?
I also receive Mind Ware and other educational game catalogs. My geeky self loves those. My kids try to hide them from me though – you should ask them about the educational game Christmas a few years back. I guess it was almost like Brent’s pogo stick Christmas – ha!
Are we related or something? I only ever read a couple articles of the Reporter – but I ALWAYS read the letters to the editor! Always.
So, why are the letters to the editor so interesting?
tehe ….. relax before TV watching … are you sure we’re not related?
And thanks for the links … somebody cut me off … I need an intervention, please! I have SOOOOOO much to do! YIKES, it’s 11:00!
