Sign of the Season

Yesterday Beth told me about a crazy cookie recipe. I had to try it, so I stopped at the grocery store. You can choose from a bunch of flavors for these cookies. I made chocolate. Not very exciting, but they did taste like cookie-shaped brownies. Mmmm…

While I was at the grocery store, I saw Queen Anne brand cordial cherries. Awesome! These are a family favorite. We give them to babies on their first Christmas. Then they can experience the joy of sharing their gift with others. Don’t anybody tell Tim and spoil the surprise, though.

They only had dark chocolate. I prefer the milk chocolate, but it didn’t stop me from eating half the box right when I got home. I didn’t eat the whole box because I was saving room for cookies. Mmmm… cookies… [drool]….

Look quick, because these'll be gone in a jiffy.

I always love it when the Keebler Almond Cresents are in the stores. Ummmm, almond cresents… I can finish off a box before I even get home. I admire your self-control to only eat half the box.

Lloyd doesn’t like the dark chocolate ones as much, either. Personally, I think they’re gross. A liquidy center? That’s as bad as Freshen-Up gum.

      Mmmm…Freshen-Up gum…I love that…

And, how weird is that? Lloyd prefers the milk chocolate? Weird.

I mostly think it’s funny that Brad didn’t share the cookie recipe…heh.

I LOVE chocolate covered cherries … except for the cherry part. I take that out & give it to Martha Bickel, my dogs or shhhh … I throw it away.

Peggy – I imagine eating around the liquid cherry center of a chocolate covered cherry is more difficult than when you eat around the almond in Almond Joys – huh? I’d like to see you eat a chocolate covered pretzel…except for the pretzel part!

Lauren – me too – yuk on the liquidy center – creeps me out!
