I had to visit the eye place while I was in Nebraska because I ran out of contacts. Besides giving me a contact prescription, the doctor also gave me a glasses prescription. At the eye place, I was only able to get contacts OR glasses, not both. I got contacts because I needed them more.
But then I wondered about the possibility of getting glasses online. I had previously read about it on a webpage called Glassy Eyes. I decided to give it a try. I saw something I liked from one of the online stores called Zenni Optical. I did have to go back to the eye place to get a pupillary distance measurement. (You can read about PD at Glassy Eyes.)
The glasses I liked were a little heavier than I’ve worn before, but they had a cool cut-away frame. Plus, they were cheap! Hooray cheap glasses!
They came in the mail the other day. Total cost? $14.90. Awesome!
Yes, the cut-away frame part IS cool…and $14.90 for prescription glasses is unheard of, even if they came without a carrying case and cleaning cloth! (Caveat emptor, though, as the Romans might have said. When it seems too good to be true, it usually is, nicht wahr?)
Now where is Brad and what have you done with him? So long as you like ’em….but these frames don’t say suave, sophisticated sphynx cat co-habitant to me.
Recently i found a place that is a welcome alternative to glasses stores. It is called GlassesShop.com. You will find huge selection of frames, with single vision lens, sunsensor (potochromic)lens, tinted suglasses lens, bifocal lens and progressive lens.
They are so cool!! You should go ahead and get the blue ones, too. You could have a whole eyeglass wardrobe!
Who cares about your stinkin’ cool glasses? More pictures of Max!
I love your glasses, by the way. Very cool. Very Alton Brown-y. But don’t grow your hair out like his just to prove it.
