I absolutely LOVE being able to record TV shows. Of course, digital cable makes it lots easier than using a VCR machine. I just go to the TV guide screen, select the show, and press “record”. But even if I was using old-fashioned tapes I would keep recording. It’s awesome!
By the time I get home and settle in, it’s 5:30 or 6. I can then watch whatever I recorded the night before and be done before 8. The machine records my next shows while I do some work or get ready for bed or whatever. I’ve been in bed by 9pm most of this week. I have a cold, so it’s good for me to be getting extra sleep. (It’s always great having an excuse to sleep.)

Well, while I am horribly jealous that you have recordable television, I am very sorry that you have a cold. I recommend that you watch someone make chicken soup on Food Network.
Just watch, though, and then open up a can of Campbell’s. You wouldn’t want to spend too much energy cooking.
I love your ratio…2 1/2 hours of TV…17 minutes of work… or whatever!!
And with recorded TV, you never have to fear falling asleep again while watching…you may need to replace the rewind botton, but ….
Note to self – make husband read today’s Bradaptation entry so that soon I might no longer have to tape “Days of Our Lives” on the kitchen non-DirectTV unit and then stay there to watch it because the bedroom uniut won’t play those tapes. Gotta love the DVR option!!
