Friday is a trash-take-out day. On trash-take-out days I scoop Max’s litterbox. When I scoop Max’s litterbox, he immediately jumps in and poops.
This morning, while I was waiting for Max to finish his morning poop, I was standing far away by the utility sink in the basement. I looked down and was startled to see something looking back at me:

It was the rolly, glidey eyeball toy I’ve had since forever! I got it a hundred years ago when I lived in my old apartment on Taylor Avenue. I don’t know where it’s been, but suddenly it was on my basement floor looking up at me. I nudged it a little for old times sake, then scooped Max’s fresh poopings from the litterbox and took the trash out.

“Here’s lookin’ at ya’, kid!” Now, wait – you CHOSE that as a TOY once upon a time? Alright, which of the rest of us plays with fake fingers or loose livers or…? I mean really!
…and Tuesday evenings are Nonniecat’s litter scooping times (garbage is picked up Wed. a.m.), with similar effect. I sometimes wonder if by then she tries all day to ‘hold it’ until the freshening process – by that time of the week things have sometimes gotten a tad aromatic in there and all. If only we’d taught her to flush years ago…
Two things.
First. Did you have you camera on you, or did you actually run back upstairs to get that shot? Heh.
Second. What? No happy half-birthday greetings for me??
I was dressed and ready for the day already. That included a camera in my pocket.
Hap. Birt.
Watch your back, Brad. That eye is trying to tell you something.
Indeed…at I’m sure that’s not the only one in that old house of yours.

Ha! It’s hilarious that you just left it there after nudging it. Do you think it might be Max’s favorite toy?
HHB, Beth.
Found at last….thanks for posting your new address…I’ll be over later.

I always browse the comments quickly while waiting for the video to load, so I was warned to not watch this one.
Did you watch it anyway?
No. Not when I read “*Bad word*, that was scary!!”.
AAAAHHHHH!!!! THAT WAS DISTURBING!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
(I need to go rub my eyes a while. To make me feel better.)
Don’t rub too hard…
