Rest and Excitement

Yesterday I spent the first half of the day on the couch. My back is getting better and better. I was downright agile yesterday. No lifting yet, though.

The second half of the day was Tim’s birthday party. We went to the park and roasted hot dogs and ate smores. But first we played on the playground equipment.

Tim kept saying: 'Come up, Uncle Brad.' Then I would slide after him.

While we were playing, Tim suddenly told me he had to go potty. I went with him, not knowing exactly what I was doing. I got his pants down and as I was pulling his diaper off, he said: “There’s poopie in there.” Aaah! I threw the diaper away and sat him on the toilet. He didn’t do anything else and after a while said he was done. I put his shorts back on and referred him back to his parents.

Tara is good at toasting marshmallows.

It started to rain, so we went back to Harold and Beth’s house for the present opening. Tim got several trucks. He was in heaven.

      HA! Good one, Peggy!

–coming from someone just a bit ahead of the train on that one, she fears.

You mean nobody wanted to hermetically seal the second anniversary poopies for posterity?! I’m disappointed…

This news is even bigger than when a new kitty makes documentable “boomboom” in his litter box for the first time (3:32 p.m. Tuesday, not that I’m logging this or anything). Way to go, Tim! Did everyone applaud? (No, that’s only when one uses the “toidy”, I believe…) Don’t worry, Brad – in time and with repeated exposure you’ll be able to handle dirty diapers, puke, who knows what? Way to go, Uncle Brad!!

    (…and Happy belated, Big Guy!!)
