Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Assistant Babysitter

Harold and Beth have been at an FCA conference this weekend. It’s two nights at the Cornhusker Hotel. Who wouldn’t jump at that opportunity? While they were gone, Grandma and Grandpa and I have been teaming up to take care of Tara and Tim. Well, actually, it’s mostly Grandma, but Grandpa and I helped.

Last night was a bath night because of church today. Tara and Tim have super-cool soap foam in several colors. I totally want to use some. I’ll have to get my own though. Tara and Tim like theirs too much.

They had a blast in the tub. It made me think that I should take a bath again. It’s been a long time. And I should definitely have toys. I’m thinking battle ships and sharks. Yes… I’ll definitely need some sharks.

It was hard to get a 'G' rated picture. Tim kept showing his backside.

Boys like showing their bums at any age, huh?

Way to go, babysitters! Looks like they’re still alive, and that’s really the whole goal, right?

Our condo had a jacuzzi, so I had to take a bath. But there was no cool soap or toys. I did have a book about the history of Silver Dollar City.

    What a good Uncle!!

And funny, I’ve been thinking alot about baths lately & how much I would LOVE it!! Maybe one day….and hey, wouldn’t it be great fun if you all could join me!

You shouldn’t have posted about the sharks. Now you know what absolutely everyone will get you for Talk Like a Pirate Day (the only noteworthy “holiday” which comes before both Christmas and your next birthday). He he. Could be almost as much fun as another “mugging”…

Who tested the bath water before the little darlings got into the tub? I’m going with the wise and experienced elbow of Grandma Royuk – was I right?

…and if you ever want a superior bath tub experience, try the one attached to Room 6 at the old Victorian B&B “Angel of the Sea” on Trenton between Beach and New Jersey Avenues in Cape May, NJ – claw-footed tub; the works! A bit short for some of us but classic nonetheless. No toys provided, but they had a glycerin facial soap to die for – even bought a few more rounds to bring home to use later!

August 8th is Brad’s half birthday – we can have a “shower” and give him bath toys and cool soap!

Speaking of “Talk Like a Pirate Day” – there is a new Pirate Museum in Ocean City. We passed it many times but I never made it in – maybe next time.
