I went to an antique store to find the next test cups for my Carnation Instant Breakfast. Since I’m in Nebraska, I went with enamelware cups. I found two possibilities: one cup that was the right shape, but the wrong color (green and white speckles); and one that is the right color but the wrong shape (too wide).
WHITE CUP
Pros: Looks great. Would be perfect on my sink.
Cons: Enamel has chips. Too wide. I can’t get the proper consistency for the crunchy-gooey chunks of undissolved Carnation.
GREEN SPECKLES CUP
Pros: Carnation mixes to the perfect consistency. Enamel is flawless and uncompromised.
Cons: Wrong color. Can I use an enamelware cup that doesn’t look like Grandma Hummel’s?
Con for both: Serious dribble. The lip of the cup has an overhang that is hard to seal with my lip. The result is a heavy dribble.
I will continue to use the green speckle cup until I find another cup to test. Perhaps I will develop the ability to drink dribble-free.
I always suspected that you had a drinking problem, and now I know it’s true.
I bet a specimen cup is just what you’re looking for – and those coordinate with everything.
Another gem from Lauren – way to go, gal!
This is better than a soap opera, brad! I can’t wait for new developments!
Dude! How can you put white milk in a white cup? Oh, that’s something that gives me the jibblies. I’m shuddering just thinking about it.
Green speckled all the way…
I don’t understand. White milk in a white cup? What’s wrong with that?
Because they’re never the same color white! If they’re not the same color white, one of them has to be dirty.
Ha! I laughed out loud!
Brad, I think I have seen a cup you may want to try out. It looks pretty cool. I saw it at Walmart. I actually have a picture of it somewhere.
Maybe you could just paint the green cup …. if you can overcome the dribbling…HA…dribbling…sorry…but…HAHAHA!
Are you sure you hadn’t just come from the dentist when you did the test?
I’m baaaack!!! Beach was awesome – weather was perfect.
I have the same heavy dribble problem when drinking beer from a can – especially the ones with the wider holes. Bring me a bottle and I’m fine.
Meanwhile I’ve been enjoying my Carnation (yes, I’m a new lover of the stuff) from OUR Slimfast cup – sorry to rub it in Brad.
Well, look at it this way: if you can’t conquer the dribble issue now, wait another few decades and you should fit in quite well with the other residents of The Home….
