Favorite Movie

If I had to name my most favorite movie of all time, I think I would have to say The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Close second goes to Edward Scissorhands and The Lord of the Rings. But I loved Munchausen first and it takes first place.

Yesterday afternoon as I was flipping through channels, I came across The Adventures of Baron Munchausen on an “independent films” channel. I of course kept watching it. What a delight! I have to admit it’s been a while. But still I was quoting lines along with it and laughing at all the places I always laugh at. It’s a great story. I love the Baron character in the movie. I totally want to be like him. Maybe someday I will. Someday…

I didn't get any really good pictures because I was busy watching. That's Uma Thurman and John Neville.

(Is this the dude after whom we’ve named that sickness where you make your kids sick just so you can take them to the emergency room and wring your hands worrying about what’s wrong with them…and sometimes they die?)

I dunno…you’d have to have crazy long curled hair, Brad, and a goofy mustache – that doesn’t feel like “you”…not to me anyway.

How do you feel about my all-time fave – Young Frankenstein? [No, wait, Gene Wilder had crazy hair and a mustache in that one, too…]

Yes it is! A person elaborates his symptoms to get attention/sympathy.

Brad, every time I think of this movie, I think of you. “What will become of the Ba-ron? Surely this time there is no e-scape. What will become of the Ba-ron? Surely this time there…. is no… e-scape. (Wobbly singing voice going painfully flat.)

My favorite movie of all time is Clue. I love it. Every time.
And I think I can safely say it is the only movie I ever quote.

Groundhog Day. Great movie. “. . . and a doughnut.”

“This is a man we’re talking about, right?”

I have never seen the Baron. What’s wrong with me???

Great Scott!! I love sooo many movies in so many different genres, how could I ever pick an all time favorite?

In my house, we only communicate thru movie quotes…it’s the rules.

Do we live in the same house, by chance?
