Brightly Colored Joy

I just LOVE colored paper… in particular, the non-pastel kind. It brings me great joy to go through the drawer in my classroom that contains the colored paper I’ve purchased over the years. I mostly use it for signs and bulletin boards, but sometimes I let the kids use a piece for a particular assignment.

Yesterday morning I wanted to make a sign for some student art I was hanging on the wall and I wanted yellow paper. I was out! I had to resort to the paper the school gets, which is all pale and faded. So yesterday evening I went out and bought some new! Woo hoo!

I wanted Astrobrights, but apparently Staples doesn't carry that. I had to get generic.

Yes, Astrobrights – that’s amazing paper. I buy a 5-color ream in February for making Valentines with the preschoolers and we always have some left over. Nothing like using BRIGHT ORANGE paper for writing important notes home.

    Your paper is so multilingual!

Heh, you said colored. I think the politically responsible term is hued.

That’s what I buy for Buddy Lists(tm). We only use about 100 sheets of each of the 6 colors, so I give the rest to the office ladies. They love it.
