Wrestling practice started yesterday. It was fun. We have kids of all experience levels. Dave, David, and I a suited to working with the variety. We’ll have to see if all the kids hang in with it, or if we lose some.
After practice, I had to do some emailing, which I can’t do at home because I had to use the school’s system to look up email addresses. It kept me there a little later than usual. There’s no escaping it… the Early Dark is upon us. I have seen the sun for the last time. Dark when I arrive, dark when I leave. I think I might need some help with my S.A.D. this year. Time to get out the lights!
I am so, so, so sorry. Maybe I could construct some sort of hat for you to wear that will hold those special lamps – or maybe just some sun-trickery eyewear?
Are you going to switch your name to Davester so you can fit in?
Would that be a variation on “Ed, Edd and Eddie”? [“Dave, David, and Davie” then?]
You know, those grow lamps in your basement might be able to help with your SADness.
Maybe you could make a giant sun out of some bright yellow tissue paper & glue it in your window & shine one of those Christmas spotlights on it from outside.

I don’t know if this will help or hurt.
Best comment of the day: A sixth grader said to me during class, “You looked like a ninja when you did the duck walk yesterday.”
Can’t honestly day I’ve seen many Ninja-walking ducks in my day, but I bet you are among the best, Mr. Royuk! I can picture you now… (This coming from someone who had her Sat. a.m. breakfast with Donald Duck at Chef Mickey’s in WDW, too!!)
I think you have ninja-like skilz in all things, because I can never see you.
That or my glasses are dirty.
It’s just too dark to see him.
