Tungsten Rocks

I got another tungsten carbide ring! Woo hoo!

Lloyd introduced me to a website called SparkleCartel.com. It’s kind of like Woot.com, but it’s all jewelry: crazy cheap prices, but get ’em while they last. Knowing my predilection for silver colored rings, Lloyd pointed me there a couple of weeks ago when a tungsten carbide ring was being offered. But they didn’t have my size. D’oh! I wear size 10, in case anyone needs to know. Then about a week ago, another ring was up. Lloyd let me know, and BAM! I bought it.

It came in the mail yesterday! It’s a lighter silver than my other tungsten carbide ring, but it’s just as shiny. This is definitely my new favorite material for rings. Because tungsten is the hardest pure metal in the world, it’s virtually unscratchable. My other ring, which I’ve had for over a year now, looks just as sparkly and shiny as it did when I got it. Yay tungsten!

From this angle, my fingers look like toes!

Did you see on their website how to remove a tungsten ring if it gets stuck? You can’t cut the ring off because it’s too strong – you stick your finger in a vice and bust the ring with pressure! Yay for beautiful danger!

Great. Now I I have another website tempting me…

And the busting off the ring with pressure thing gives me the jubblies…

      Me too…with the tempting site.

Your picture today is disturbing…Toes? Maybe, but not human toes. A war veteran?
A clumsy deli worker? Please don’t do that again, stubby.

Hey beth, I just went to the site and the jewelry has changed. So unlike WOOT, there is more than one item they show each day????

It’s a man’s tungsten ring right now. (size 10 sold out)

I thought those looked like toes, too.

Oh and Brad, I forgot to say, “Really nice ring!”

(I must have been preoccupied with your hand/foot)

So in your case, is it “rings on his fingers and also on his toes?”

As a former laborer in my father and grandfather’s butcher shop, I’d say I’ve seen those finger/toes somewhere before…”Extra protein in the spiced ham today, folks – no extra charge either!” Eeewwww…

I thought about getting one (a different ring) but then I remembered that I swore a solemn vow to have only one ring per wife.

Be careful when ordering these rings online. If they are comfort fit, which most seem to be, then you might need a different size than you normally wear. I wear a 10 usually, but I got a comfort fit ring from http://www.tungstenworld.com and its a 9.5. It fits perfect though and looks awesome!
