A Trip to the Mall

I worked at school in the morning yesterday, then decided to make a trip to the mall. Denis gave me a couple of Kung-Fu movies for Christmas and I really enjoyed them. They’re sold at little kiosks in Arundel Mills Mall. I wondered if maybe they had a rental program, so I went down to ask them. Denis went along.

On the way down, Denis wanted to stop at G&M Restaurant for a crab cake sandwich. He had heard they were the best. It was good, but I’m no judge of crab cakes, so I’ll leave “best” or “not best” pronouncements to people who eat crab cakes regularly.

It did have lots of sweet, delicious crab meat.

The Kung-Fu people at the mall don’t rent movies. Dang. What I would have liked about that is that all the movies are gathered in one place. If I want to use Netflix, I’ll have to do some searching. And who will tell me if they’re good or not?

Next I spent some time wandering around in other stores. My walking shoes have become split along the sole. It makes them water absorbent whenever it rains. While looking for a replacement, I stumbled upon some sneakers that smelled exactly like Band-Aids. It was amazing! I love that smell! I almost bought them for that reason alone, but they were too athletic-looking. What am I, some kind of athlete? Heh.

*sniff* *sniff* Mmmm....

The crab cake looks good, but the fries look soggy. Were they?

What drew you to this particular pair of sneakers? Was it the looks and then you caught a whiff, or was the scent so powerful it drew you to them, or are you the guy in the store who goes around smelling the shoes?

Erm. Because that last possibility would be weird.

The fries were not soggy. They were definitely ketchup fries.

The shoes were on a display that was almost chest height. From that close proximity, I could smell them when I walked past. The smell was quite strong. And exactly like Band-Aids.

        1. What are ketchup fries?

        2. I got out a band-aid at work to smell, and it didn’t smell like anything. So I’m confused.

          1. Fries that taste good with ketchup.

          2. I think you have to smell a whole box. And it has to be Band-Aid brand. If you could find one of those old metal boxes, you would easily be able to smell the smell.

Well, this looks like “Brad’s Day of Fun!” Wait…everyday day is Brad’s day of fun…

And you should have bought the shoes…they don’t look too athletic silly…and besides you’re a Coach, so you qualify for any shoe! AND at that price…what were you thinking? I HAVE to go to that mall immediately for shoes…but first I have to find some band-aids to smell!
