The End …for Now

I have finished Assassin’s Creed II. I was just going to play for an hour or so last night, and it ended up being the last hour of the game. I’m kind of bummed. Aside from some gratuitous swear words, this was a really good game. I was solving a mystery as I went along. It ended up being aliens. Isn’t it always aliens now-a-days? I long for the days of good ol’ supernatural explanations. I guess that’s not what the young people want these days.

Anyway, I really got my money’s worth out of this one. I may play around with it a little more, but for all intents and purposes, I’m finished. Thanks for the ride, Assassin’s Creed II. Thanks for the game, Ubisoft.

It turns out that the aliens were using Ezio's memories to send Desmond a message about an earth-destroying cataclysm.

I can’t read the name of that game without thinking of Apollo Creed.

I’m sorry your game is over, but I’m glad you won it. Is that you in the screenshot? Is he weeping from relief that it’s over or is he shielding his eyes from lights on your desk?

I thought it was always vampires now-a-days?

  3. Beth says:

Is that an alien-dinosaur-silhouette coming out of his shoulder?

    • Brad says:

That’s the head rest for the Animus. It’s the machine that helps Desomond access the memories of his ancestor Enzio. The idea is that memories are preserved in our DNA and that the proper technology can access them.

  4. Peggy says:

And just what exactly is the Assassin’s creed? And do you have to make any hand/body gestures while pledging it?

    • Brad says:

      The creed is:

“Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.” You have to be invited into the Order of Assassins after you have proven your worth, so it’s not something just anybody can do. I of course was worthy.
