My house didn’t have any house number on it when I moved in. I addressed the problem at first by gluing some brass numbers to a big rock. It looked nice, but was a little hard to see. Recently, one of the numbers came unglued. I knew it was time for a more permanent fix. I ordered a house number plaque that I could actually attach to the wall.
There was a choice of shape, size, and color. I wanted it to be visible, so the color decision was pretty easy. The shape decision was a little harder. I wanted something formal, but would it look more Victorian than Edwardian? That would be disastrous! I nervously awaited its arrival.
The plaque came this past week. It’s been sitting in my living room for several days, but I finally got it put up. I like how it looks. And it was so easy to hang, I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner.

Very nice, sir! How did you attach it? Glue? Mighty Putty? Hercules Hooks?
*sniff* I miss Billy Mayes.
I am not familiar with the vampire Victoria. What type of house did she live in?
Hmmm…if you add your house numbers together you get the same number as the letters in your name, if your name was Bradly Ronaldly Royuk which is the same number of years you’ve been teaching…in 2 more years…which is also the same number as the front half of the year you were born…which is also the same number of your fingers & toes, if you should happen to lose one in a tragic accident…pretty darn creepy isn’t it!
Allow me to translate for the rest of you:
“Peggy needs a vacation.”
HA! I laughed out loud!
Didn’t you ever see the movie “The Number 23″? Oh wait…you don’t like movies. Well, in it everything in this guys life adds up to 23…and it drives him crazy.
