Forty, Point Oh-Eight-Three Repeating

This week is National Lutheran Schools Week. We always do fun dress days for the occasion. This year we have some new ones. I’m glad. It gives me new challenges.

I'm glad crazy hair day includes some other stuff because really, what would I do?

Yesterday was “Dress Like a Teacher Day”. Us teachers said we were going to dress like students. I even wore glasses to make me look more studenty. But when I got to school, all the other teachers were wearing a white shirt and a tie. They were dressed like me! Then the students started arriving. They were also all dressed like me. What was going on? Well, yesterday was March 8… exactly one month after my birthday. They had wanted to surprise me like this on my birthday, but we weren’t in school because of the snow. So they did it yesterday. It was hilarious! I should have had some clue. The paper above says “Dress like a CERTAIN teacher”. Hehe…

An awesome gift!

  1. Lauren says:

I thought that ‘certain’ looked suspicious. Hilarious!!!! To those high-fiving in the back, we high-five you!

    • Michele says:

Big mistake Lauren – those boys are troublemakers!
Instead of a high five, perhaps the back of the hand would be more suitable!

  2. Beth says:

    That. Is. Awesome.

  3. Kristi says:

What a compliment — to have the student body and the teachers dress like you.

Will you be wearing the sports jersey on Friday?

  4. Peggy says:

That is so cool! Royuk clones as far as the eye can see!

I’ll alert the Queen Mum (I know she’s gone, but I wanted to say mum) so she can prepare something extra special in the Royal Gardens for your 40.16!

  5. Peggy says:

Hey…did you know that today, March 9th, is the Eye’s 10th birthday?

  6. Brent says:

You know what? The same thing happened to me in 1994, but just with my fellow teachers.

It was “dress like a student” day. When I got to school I, who was wearing black pants, white shirt and tie like I always did, saw my math-teaching colleague wearing the same thing. Then I saw a PE teacher and a female English teacher in the same outfit and I knew what was going on.

    I’m not making this up.

  7. Lloyd says:

    That. Was. Beautiful.

  8. Carol says:

Though my white oxford blouse was in the wash on Monday, you know I want to be more like you when I grow up, Brad…or maybe that should read if I ever grow up.

Were there a few kiddos missing from this shot? It seems like only about 80-ish students, and while I know we’re less than he were at one time…

Indeed, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…and I hope 7th grade boy PP felt flattered that you had dressed just like him on Monday.
