I make fun of Beth a lot for her OCD. She gets it from our mom. Their OCD expresses itself in wierd ways, but also in useful ways: they’re both neat freaks.
I have to come clean and admit that I have a touch of OCD as well. But it only shows itself in small ways. For instance: I do not step on cracks, I am compulsive about weird number patterns (Did you notice that today is 8-9-10?), and when I drink soda from a fast food cup, I have to have my fingers across the seam.
See?
No cracks? Do you completely avoid walking on mosaics?
This changes everything. I can’t be your friend anymore.
The first step is admitting you have a problem. Congratulations! Welcome to my world 🙂
Who’s going to be the first here to quote the T-shirt: “I have CDO – it’s like OCD but with the letters in the proper order…as they should be…”? …oh…I guess that would be me then…
It’s about time you admit it.
Now, back to my compulsions…
I think what you suffer from is OBD…Odd, Bizzare Disorder. Don’t worry, I think I have it too.
Things have to be parrallel in my world…especially my tape dispenser & stapler on my desk. And the scatter rugs in my house. Because I’m always barefoot, I can grab them & straighten them with my toes so I don’t have to bend over. And the coffee table…it can’t be a hair slanted. And the faucets in my house have to be shiney at all times. And I don’t like certain foods to touch on my plate…Oh my gosh…I’m a freak! Thanks Brad.
