Buck Rogers in the 25th Century

I’ve really been hurting for TV entertainment lately. The reruns are rerunning again. The summer shows have finished. What am I to watch?

Netflix to the rescue! I just discovered that I can watch some Netflix content right on my computer. It’s awesome! I’ve started watching Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. I loved it when it was first on. I can’t believe how much I like it still! They don’t make shows like this any more. Buck is funny and a great fighter and cocky and the ladies love him. I want to be just like him when I grow up. And Wilma… what words convey the wonders of her beauty? She’s tough and pretty and powerful. I want to marry her.

Each episode is one hour, thirty-seven minutes long. It’s going to take me a LONG time to get through them all. Woo hoo!

I love the theme music.

I love Netflix. The ‘watch instantly’ feature is totally worth it. Hulu.com is good, too.

I don’t think I ever actually watched Buck Rogers. I think my brothers did, but in my mind I’m confusing it with Battlestar Gallactica.

Really? 37 minutes. They seemed longer back then. Or maybe I was just shorter.

    Anyway: BeeDee BeeDee BeeDee

Was that from the right show?

The way Netflix plays them, they are one hour thirty-seven minutes. It makes me wonder if they were originally shown in cliff-hanger form or something… one episode stretching over two or three weeks maybe.

The voice you are describing is Twiki, the robot with the Dorothy Hamill haircut. He carried Dr. Theophilus around his neck like a giant bling bling necklace. The voice of Twiki was done by Mel Blanc, of Looney Tunes fame. “Beedee beedee beedee. Watch it, bub!”

I’ve never even seen one episode of Buck Rogers…so I looked up some of the various characters so I’d know who you all were talking about…and then I got to Twiki…HAHA!! Is that really the way you would describe what that character looks like? A Dorothy Hammil haircut? Aaaa, Not what I see….

    Yay! Brad’s getting married!

Can I sit in between Dr. Sam Beckett & Captain Jonathan Archer at the wedding?

PS—Can you get ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show’ on Netflix? The Haunted Cabin episode?
