My work on the computer room has slowed considerably. I have gotten the paint on the ceiling and walls, but not the trim yet. And the unpainted trim mocks me.
In the meantime, my hallway is full of clutter. It’s sort of the staging area for work on the computer room. It has the trash can, my work shoes, extra drywall, etc. I’ve left all the stuff there thinking I would eventually get to the hallway water damage, but who’s kiddin’ who? That work’s not going to get done any time soon. Last night I stumbled on something in the hallway and realized it had looked like this for over three weeks. All the junk had slowly become invisible to me.
I have got to get this cleaned up over the weekend…

I think you can solve that problem by just pounding a few nails in the wall and hanging everything up right there. Viola’! Art!
Is that wooden thing a homemade ceiling-drywall holder???
Yes, it is a ceiling drywall holder. It works pretty well, but the process is still a two-person job.
I say as long as you don’t have to walk down the hall sideways, you’re good.
And Congratulations on being almost finished!!
You don’t want to hear how long it took to repair the hole in our hallway ceiling after I took a mistep in the attic once about 15 years ago. (Yes, that hurt, in case anyone was wondering…) I learned to live with raw, unprimed spackle for years. You can build up a tolerance after a while. It helps when you have to look up to see it, too. Yes, it is now repainted and nobody but
my aching buttme remembers what it used to look like.
