Eighth Grade Verse 2010-2011

I finally got the eighth grade verse bulletin board done yesterday. The eighth graders picked their verse two weeks ago already, but I just haven’t made the time to do the bulletin board. Yesterday was “Moving Up Day”, where all the eighth graders are paired with high schoolers and get to see what high school classes are like. It gave me two extra free periods. It was enough time to get the bulletin board planned so I could do it after school.

It’s kind of plain, but I think the simplicity works. If I did it over again, I might use different colors for the people. Once they’re mashed into the heart shape, you kind of lose the fact that there are a bunch of people there. But the colors are eye-pleasing, and the design communicates the message. That’s what I like in a bulletin board.

I particularly like the line 'God lives in us'. I isolated it so it would stand out.

I think it’s great using the same color for the people – it’s a sense of unity. It’s extremely cool!

Along with the 9th grade religion curriculum that you should publish, you should also make a book about bulletin boards. I’m not kidding.

First, I LOVE that verse! Way to go 8th graders!

Second, I like the pink people too…and I’m sure in person you can see the individual bodies just fine. Very nice job – nice job!

Third, Lauren is right about that curriculum…I’m so glad to hear someone else encouraging you to upgrade those curriculums!

I like how they’re all mixed together.
