Yesterday a couple of students came late to class and were carrying a late pass. Usually late passes are hastily scribbled on a scrap of paper, but this was actually printed out with a title and spaces to fill out and stuff. My passes are currently blank purple papers, which are leftovers from when I cut flaps to hide the answers on the riddle papers I hung on the wall in my classroom.
These pre-printed passes are nice, but if I did it, I think would have to add the word “Amazing!” or “Awesome!” after my name. In fact, I think it would need several exclamation marks sprinkled throughout the text. That would make my passes seem more exciting or urgent.
Ha! You should totally print up some hall passes! They would be hilarious! Title them: Mission Impossible and put lots of spy stuff on it, too. Or if they need one to go to the bathroom it could have “Don’t Ask” at the top.
Hey, maybe this could be where you make a picture of yourself holding a nice rolled up purple pass that says: They’re late…get over it!!! Btw: I’m awesome!!
