Beans

I don’t have very discriminating taste when it comes to coffee. Because I don’t add cream or sugar, I like flavored coffee because that gives it a little something extra. My favorite has been hazelnut. I think that’s because when I look for a decaffeinated flavored coffee, hazelnut is the easiest to find.

Last night I made a quick stop at the grocery store. Since I was getting low on coffee at school, I decided to get more. They had decaffeinated hazelnut, but it was the whole bean kind that you’re supposed to grind up right there in the store. I don’t think this was my absolute first time to use a grocery store coffee grinder, but it’s been a long time. I hope I did it right. I’ll be at school today so I can give this coffee a try.

It smelled good while it was grinding.

I mostly like the reflection of you in the shiny price tag thing. What is that anyway?

Heh. I didn’t even notice that. That’s the bean chute: you put your bag under there and pull the lever and coffee beans fall into the bag. It looks kind of metallic, but it was actually clear plastic.

Mmmmm…. freshly ground coffee. It smells so good, yet tastes so gross. I love those store grinders!

I am curious how the coffee I make on the weekend is markedly different from the coffee I drink at school. Weekend coffee requires a little ‘personal time’ within half an hour, school coffee is no problem. I know it’s TMI, but I’m curious.

I never used a store coffee grinder before. I’m so uncultured.

But I do remember as a very little kid of around 5, I used to ride the one seat ferris wheel that was in our grocery store. The seat was attached to a flat wall. I loved that thing!

Hehe…here is the ferris wheel. Choose #14 on the right. I’m pretty sure the one in our store was way BIGGER than this one. And this girl is too old for it.
