Brad the Plumber

I accomplished something yesterday! Yay! It didn’t cost me any money! Yay! Well, actually, it cost Brad From The Past money. Sorry, BFTP, but thanks for the Project.

My kitchen faucet has been leaking for months. It’s only a year old. I couldn’t find the leak. Water was coming from nowhere and leaking all over the bottom of my cabinet. I’ve just been keeping a container under the water lines to catch the drips. In June, I finally got around to buying a new faucet, but I didn’t get it installed before I went to Nebraska.

BEFORE:
It still looks nice, but it leaks!

AFTER:
It's a different brand.

I can’t believe how hard it was to get this new one put in. Two trips to the hardware store, and hard, sweaty work. Sheesh! Max helped by licking the sweat off me when I came out from under the sink.
Mmm... salty...

Ha! If you wake up this morning garnished with parsley, run for it.

That faucet looks very cool! It’s a pull-out sprayer with the button on the bottom side? I’ve never seen that before. Does that mean when you pull out the faucet it automatically starts spraying because of how you hold it?

I liked that the button was on the bottom, because then it was hidden. You can pull it out and push the button at the same time if you want, but you don’t have to.

    Hi Brad,

This is a little off topic (in fact a year and a half off topic). Back in November of 2009 you posted a picture of the smashed glass on your camera. I need a picture of a broken camera for a photography class I am putting together (a lesson on the importance of using the strap) and wanted your permission to use your shot in my lesson. Thanks in advance.

Well, after all that Brad the Plumber (hehe…do you have any political interviews lined-up) sweating there’s only one thing to do today! Go buy a couple of boxes of Cheez-Its & go right to the bottom of the bags & devour all those delicious salty crumbs! Then have some heavily salted soft pretzels, & some french fries too! You have to do it for your health!

Nicely done, sir! Makes my righty-tighty to stop our drip from the cold water hose to the washing machine seem like child’s play in comparison.

Now one question: Is Max your apprentice, or just the clean up crew? Regardless, considering how high city water bills tend to be this repair may save you enough money to afford to take a real shower after your next perspir-a-thon. Congrats and a good knuckle bump to you there.
