Fright Night

I am so glad Lloyd and Lauren are home again. While they were gone, I was sleeping in their house all alone. I don’t mind being alone. In fact, I like being alone. But being alone at Lloyd and Lauren’s house triggers some kind of fear instinct in me. Is it because their house is haunted or possessed or something?

The last night I was alone, I went to bed, and the noises started. It sounded exactly like someone walking in the hallway. Since this has happened before, I knew it was just regular creaking, but I still couldn’t get over the fear. So I kept looking down the hallway to see if someone was out there. No one was.

But then I went to the bathroom. On my way out to the hallway, I noticed that the door to Lloyd’s closet was open and the light was on. *shudder* *shudder* The light wasn’t on before. I know it wasn’t, because this was my second night alone and I would have seen the light the first night. I know that light wasn’t on before. *shudder* *shudder*

I worked up the courage to look in the closet. I didn’t see anything. I turned off the light and shut the door and went back to bed…. for about thirty seconds. Then I got my book and computer and went down to the living room couch to cower in fear and jump at every creak and bump.

I didn’t sleep until after 4am, and then it was only fitful sleep. I am so glad Lloyd and Lauren are back.

This is a re-enactment. There is no way in heck I could have taken a picture that night.

Again, I am sorry. When I was sleeping in your room with the bed at a crazy angle, I also heard those noises, and you’re right – it sounds just like someone moving around up there.

As to the mystery of the door, I can’t help you. I would have guessed Tim or Tara had played in there, but you said they hadn’t come over. Looks like it’s time for an exorcism. (again)

Maybe it was the Christian killer that Anna had a dream about the other night!

You’re not kidding you were brave to investigate that closet light!

You need a small TV in your room that you can leave on when you’re alone. It’s easy to fall asleep while watching. It works for me….mostly.

How old is their home? Are they the first and only owner residents? If not, what is known about previous owners; are they still living? These are the sort of questions to which one would need answers before sleeping alone in another’s home. File this list away for future visits – to anyone’s house. Also, sounds like you would not be a good person to watch alone any of the following on cable/satellite: My Ghost Story, Celebrity Ghost Stories or anything with Paranormal in its title…just a thought…
