Happy Birthday, Peggy! Yay!
On my way to school yesterday before church, I had to stop for gas. My route to school takes me past a gas station, so I stopped there. There is a tree there that I look at every time I pass it. In the winter, it holds on to its leaves. There is a light right next to it that has a faint pinkish tint to it. The result is something that sort of looks like a cherry tree in bloom. A perpetually winter-blooming cherry tree. It makes me smile.
On my route home from school, I often see a woman power walking. I love how regular she is. And she walks with this spring in her step and with such a serious look on her face. When I see her, I always smile as well. But I’m not going to take a picture of her. She probably would think that’s creepy.

Happy Birthday, Peggy!
Your neck of the woods really does have such beautiful trees. By the darkness of the picture, though, I’m guessing it was a ‘work before church’ Sunday, yes? Is there any other kind?
Heh. No. But it’s by choice. I don’t do much work after school on weekdays because I’m tired. And then there’s evening commitments. So I come in on Sunday mornings. Most times I don’t need to come back after church, so it’s not like I’m losing weekend playtime or anything.
I’ve heard that exercise helps make you regular….must be true now that I’ve read it here.
Thanks for the birthday wishes! (and thanks Beth for the present, I can’t stop playing with it!)
Wait – how long has a Big Lots been in that shopping strip along Harford Rd, and why has this information been kept from me?! Now I know the route I want to take home today. He he.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEGGY! I guess we could have counted last Thursday’s lunch as a birthday celebration if I’d thought about it at the time (and picked up the tab). Hope they give you a break at work today…
Thank you Carol….and no such luck at work…I’m SWAMPED!
And I was wondering where that picture was taken also. I was thinking it was that shopping center on the corner of E. Northern Pkwy. & McClean Blvd. Brad?
It is. Right across from Gino’s of the past.
OK then – I rarely drive that way, so I feel better knowing it’s not really “near” me and I missed it. Thanks for clearing that up, Pegster.
…and when are you going to have that courageous conversation with your bosses about your workload? I don’t want to hear “nursing admin ass’t spontaneously combusts at her desk – pictures at 11 pm” on my TV any time soon!!
