Sunscreen

Because the face lotion I was using was discontinued again (this is the third time that’s happened!), I am using a new kind. It’s a Clinique product, and is kind of an all-in-one thing. This is the first lotion I’ve used that has sunscreen in it, and I could tell. The lotion looked, felt, and smelled like sunscreen. In fact, I smelled sunscreen all day long. It was a little disorienting. The warm weather we’re having has been disorienting enough, thank you. (We’re supposed to break 60 degrees today.)

Anyway, I like this new stuff well enough, but I do have to get used to that sunscreen smell. And I need to make a better effort to keep it out of my eyes. Sunscreen in my eyes stings!

The new one is on the right.

Wow – their packaging is certainly improved! Ahhh…. summer in a snazzy tube.

I’ve been experimenting with just straight olive oil as a moisturizer for the past three weeks. It’s working out ok, but that means I haven’t had the sunscreen from the old moisturizer, and that’s a shame. I’m pro-sunscreen.

Does it also “feel” like sunscreen? Because that would be a deal breaker for me. I really dislike how sunscreen feels…

It does feel like sunscreen. I can deal with it, but I am already shopping for a replacement. I don’t like heavy lotion on my face. It makes me feel like I’m suffocating. I wish the stupid lotion companies would quit discontinuing stuff. Is it some kind of marketing strategy? Do people not stay loyal to a particular product long enough to keep it profitable?

But I thought the whole point of the product was for oil control. I don’t see that on the new product.

But really Brad, forget the moisturizer. Men looked better with wrinkles, so wrinkle away I say. (I noticed just the other day that you don’t have any….so you need to get on board with the distinguishment)
