Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Apple Box

I’ve been bringing an apple to school every day this year as part of my lunch. I’m feeling good about eating some kind of plant material. I’m sure it’s good for me. About a month ago, I said that after slicing and coring an apple with one of those handy-dandy all-in-one slicer thingies, I would wrap it in Press’n Seal. Using Press’n Seal daily seemed extravagant though, so I looked for something else.

And I found it! It’s a carryout soup container. It’s exactly the right size for a sliced apple. You’re welcome, environment. You’re welcome, Lauren.

Still drinking Carnation for lunch.

Now if I can just decide on a washing schedule for the container… it’s getting kind of sticky.

Ha! Thank you, Brad. 🙂 It’s absolutely perfect!

As for keeping it clean – do you eat at your desk? Could you just rinse it out with coffee? Or lick it clean? I. Am. Joking. *jibblie*

The life sciences teacher in me is proud of your responsible dietary choices. The recycling portion of me also thanks you for your re-use of a disposable item. Ya’ had me until the “It’s getting …. sticky” part of your post, though. I(nsert hard swallow here.)

HA! I say don’t wash that container until the stickyness develops into some type of new super adhesive that will make you millions.

On a practical note: Get 4 more containers & use one each day. Dishwasher them all on the weekend.

I’ve never heard “dishwasher” used as a verb.

        It’s a verb. Dictionary it & you’ll see.

          Ha!!
