Back to School

I finally got back in to school yesterday. I’ve been away for a while, and it seems even longer for all the events of the last week and a half.

I started packing my classroom into boxes. It isn’t taking as long as I expected, but it is taking long enough that I’ll need two or three more days. I will not be going back in today, or indeed for the next few days. The summer cleaning crew is stripping and waxing the floors, and my room is next on the list. It’ll be next week before I could even get in there.

So what will I do with a whole day to myself? A… whole… day… Woo hoo!

Boxes full of books are heavy!

I know what you could do with your day – a whole wonderful day of nothing!

You are not kidding about boxes of books being heavy. When Lloyd and I were moving (early on in our marriage) to our first place, we had no furniture – just boxes and boxes and boxes of his books. We had an 8′ x 10′ UHaul trailer to put all our worldly possessions into, and I loaded the trailer – putting all the boxes up near the front. I broke our bumper with the uneven weight. Oops.

A whole day! Woo hoo! Let’s see… you could spend some time trying to figure out the answer to this question: With this horrible heat wave we’re having, why was I wearing a fleece jacket last night?

    Or you could play this:
