Boxing

My basement is looking a little less like a “Hoarders” show in one corner. I spent some time clearing some shelves so I could stack my teacher stuff on them. My classroom materials are gathered into boxes for the time being. The boxes have been scattered for a while – a few in my dining room, a few in the basement, a few in my truck. I put the boxes all in one place. And they’re labeled. And they’re off the ground in case I have another sewage problem in my basement. Woo hoo! Look at me being organized. Now if I can just get the rest of the basement to look better…

I was in the play 'Harvey' years ago. I got to keep the prop picture.

You have the Harvey painting! How cool is that!?

Yes! You were Elwood’s sister in high school! Hehe…
I was the lawyer. “Well, cut my arms off and call me clothes-pin!”

I’m impressed that you remember lines!

    I. Am. Jealous. You must have done this in a single day, too, based on recent conversation. Perhaps you’d like to wave a magic wand over our basement as well? (wait…..I wouldn’t commit until I’d had the visual experience…then, I’d run…) Awesome result. Did I say I was jealous yet?

Ok, I need to know more about the play. You might have told me, but I have completely forgotten why a giant rabbit would have its arm around you. Also, how come that is not displayed prominently upstairs? That is fantastic!

I love that kind of shelving. It brings me an unreasonable amount of joy.

A while back, my church’s school’s principal and her husband organized and ran dinner theater at our church. They were fun community-theater type productions. I don’t know if I remember them all…
I was something in Once Upon a Mattress
I was “Pa” in Little Abner.
I was the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz.
I was Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey

The picture is from Harvey. Elwood had it over the mantle and his sister kept taking it down. After the play was over, there really was no need to keep the giant picture of me with a rabbit at church, so they let me take it home.

    Way to organize Clothes-Pin!

Btw: Who painted the picture of you & Harvey? Did you?

And maybe you could blow up that picture of the cast from The Wizard of Oz that you have (which is a great picture I must say) & start a gallery of all your works. That would be really fun & cool!

I can’t remember the artist’s name. He used pastels to do the picture.

He and his wife had chinchillas. Chinchillas! They were so cute.
