My friend and fellow Xbox addict James gave me some games a while ago. I decided to play one called Dragon Age Origins. It turned out to be a really fun game. I’ve been playing it off and on for a couple of months now. Recently, I got to the end of the story. It is a battle against the forces of darkness. Along the way, you gather companions who fight with you. It’s a fun game, and I had a good run, but it’s over now. After you slay the arch-demon, the game does a short epilogue, which includes some interaction, but is mostly a slide show to tell you what happens to each character.
I didn’t get as emotional as I usually do at the end of story-line video games, but I was still sad to see the end.
But James gave me several games, and one of them was this:

I could only play video games that had different kinds of quests: “Clothing Age: Finding a pair of pants that fit” or “Present Age II: Finding thoughtful gifts”.
yes, but how would you compare it to Skyrim?
This game is nowhere near as big as Skyrim. Or as free. The quests are sort of pre-planned. But I don’t really consider them the same time of game. Dragon Age involves a lot of dialogue. When you talk to people, you usually have four choices to respond. The response you choose determines how the person feels about you and what happens next in the game. I used the internet a lot to choose the answer.
That’s how I choose my answers in real life conversations.
The real question is: Did you sacrifice friends and loved ones for the greater good?
These games are just too darn hard. I couldn’t even “win” this game. Darn alligators.

That is actually a VERY appropriate question to ask. No I did not. I can’t choose the mean choices in video games for some reason.
…and here I sit, waiting to see if Plants vs. Zombies will ever have the sequel rumored in October…meanwhile, it’s back to the “backyard” for the umpteenth time to fight the evils of the undead with my pea shooter and his friends. At least I’ve grown my tree of wisdom tall enoough to make the zombies dance now!
Your virtual life sounds much more exciting than mine. (Though Lauren’s sounds much more realistic to most of ours, no?)
