Basket of Bears

We’re celebrating National Lutheran Schools week this week. Today is Pajama Day. I don’t really have pajamas, so I’m just dressed in regular clothes. Tomorrow is Career Day. Maybe I can figure something out. Maybe I’ll dress as a teacher.

Another thing we’re doing is a food-drive raffle. During the course of this week, kids are bringing canned food in for the local food pantry. When they bring in a can, they get a ticket. The teachers are all offering raffle prizes. Whatever prize the kids want to go for, they can put their tickets in the corresponding buckets. There are some really cool prizes – gift cards, home made sweet treats of your choice, lunch with the principal (during school!), mini-golf, a popcorn party for your class… I think the kids will be excited 🙂

I decided to go for immediate gratification – I am offering a basket of bears. I found some really soft teddy bears and put them in a basket with gummi bears and bear stickers. I’m thinking maybe the younger kids will like it. And if we can get a big donation of food, the real winners will be the people the food pantry helps.

So soft...

Oh my goodness, I want that basket. Can I mail some food to Hawaii? They are going to love it – let us know how the excitement builds!

I see you are messing around with new themes! I respect you for that, as I have no idea how the inner guts of a website work. Well done, you!

Is it just me, or is the white bear looking disdainfully at the blue bear?

Haha! That is hilarious! He must be a distant cousin of Grumpy Cat.

And Brad, that basket is super awesome! I’m with Lauren….and every other female out there who swoons over stuffed animals. Well done Teach!
