I spent the day with my parents yesterday. We spent most of the day in Lincoln. We ran various errands. It was a successful visit.
Among the things we did was pick up our family pictures. They really turned out well. Here is the whole family:
A good-looking group.
At one point, the picture-taker told us to make silly faces. We were a little confused. Were we seriously supposed to do that? Some of us did and some of us didn’t. The result:
Er… Maybe not so good-looking.
We did all kinds of various family groups, which means I needed to do a solo picture. There was a sample pose posted on the wall that I really wanted to do, but I chickened out:
Wouldn’t I look great in this pose?
Instead, I just did the pose the picture-taker told me to. It turned out okay I guess, but I certainly didn’t look as good as that baby.
I should have been pointing or something. Maybe a peace sign?
Ha! The silly faces picture is hilarious! It really shows personality!

I forgot to say that long ago my brother’s friend took a hilarious photo for his Concordia ID card. It was similar to that baby’s.
I’ve always thought that the appropriate picture for your driver’s license would be the face you would make when you are pulled over – slightly scared and very, very contrite for me.

GREAT pictures Royuks!!! And I LOVE the funny face picture!!! And it gives me a great idea! My picture usually comes out looking like Beth in the funny face picture….even though I’m not making a funny face, so now I’ll just tell people that the photographer told us to make a funny face & I’m the only one that did it.
And Brad! You should have totally done the baby picture! That would have been hilarious! Maybe next time you all could do a baby shot!

1. Am I the only person who thinks the solo shot of you is superb?!
2. What – no matching shirts for this year’s group snap? I thought that was required!
3. Beth Pester can make one heck of a great “funny face” – in fact, I think that might be crying out for a caption.
4. Better yet, let’ suggest captions for the baby picture pose but with a Brad face in it. You know, something like “Hey there, cutie – is this not the most striking pose you’ve seen in a while? Yea…I thought so too…” Next?
