Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day! Arr!
I miss my house. My apartment is really nice, and has wonderful amenities, but it is small compared to my house. I have two rooms to hang out in: my bedroom, and the kitchen/living room. I do have a small balcony to step out onto, which is nice, since it’s getting cooler out.
The bigger problem is that I can’t pursue my hobbies. If I were living at home, I could step outside any time and work in my garden. Or, if I were in an inside mood, I could do some sort of home project, such as fixing a light or replacing toilet guts. I enjoy doing these things. At my apartment, I can’t garden or do projects. If my toilet guts go bad, I’m not allowed to fix it. I must call the office.
So instead, I sit. I sit and watch TV, I sit and read, I sit and surf the internet.
I’m guessing my house will be move-in ready in about two weeks. I can do that. I wonder if I’ll miss my old apartment when I’m living at my house again…
