Happy Easter! He is risen!
Yesterday I went back to Amazing Glaze to do another pottery painting. This time, it was with Peggy and Denis. We met at the Bel Air branch. It was really fun to sit at the table and talk while we worked. I have got to join a book club or art club or something.
This branch of Amazing Glaze had a different shape of flower pot, so I chose that this time. I was excited to try a different technique. I painted different colors in layers, then wiped through the layers in spots with a wet paper towel. Peggy and Denis did interesting things too. Denis did three colors, blending them at the transition lines. Peggy put small round stickers on her mug, then glazed over them, then pulled the stickers off. Instant polka dots!
I will be interested to see the results. I will of course share them here.
Hi, Peggy! Hi, Denis! How fun that you got to spend the day together! I am a little disappointed that you didn’t show the final painted pieces. I’ll wait until they’re fired, though. 🙂
By the way, Amazing Glaze would also be a fantastic name for a donut shop.
He is risen indeed!
And you little picture taking sneak. Hehe….
I hope you enjoyed your birthday painting party Denis…despite the jealously you surely felt:
Peggy: How is it that Denis has never done this, and his looks the best?
Brad: Stupid Denis.
It was Denis’ birthday? Happy Birthday, Denis!
HEY!
You went without me?
Hehe… I’ll let you know next time I go.
And welcome to Bradaptation.
These pottery places have cool (or would that be hot) names. The one in our nearby city is called “Creatively Fired.”
