Beginning Picnic

Happy Birthday to Gus! Woo hoo!

At the beginning of the school year, my school always has a picnic for all the families at a local park. The PTL brings hotdogs and hamburgers, and the families bring their own drinks and some kind of dish to share.

The picnic was last night. It was at the Hilton Area of Patapsco State Park. Apparently, there are several different sites for Patapsco State Park. The site was beautiful. It was in a gorgeous forest, with a nice dining pavilion and a huge play area. The adults had a wonderful time. The kids had a blast!

The smoke from the grilling made the sunbeams visible.

I had to resist running out there and playing too.

Love the picnic idea – especially the part where apparently the teachers don’t run it and do the work ;-).

Birthday blessings to good old (er, mature) Gus! May your day be filled with birdies and squirrels to watch out the window and fish to watch indoors, your favorite treats at home and a clean litter box. (What more could a kitty ask for?)

[I take it Week One went well? Me, too – we should compare notes some time soon…]

Happy Birthday Gus! From your Grandmother! I showed your fish tank picture to our St. John’s church choir Wednesday night. Lots of reactions!

Happy Birthday to our wonderful GrandKat GUS! I hope something new is entered into his life that he really enjoys. A-Hem, A-Hem. Birthday presents must be awarded locally. So awesome to hear and see about start of school celebrations and activities. Love to GUS and Brad…..and all our loved ones.

This is Lauren, since Lloyd is using my computer area right now. Happy Birthday, Gus! Live large, my little hairless friend!

That play area looks FANTASTIC! We have a bunch of tires on our playground and the kids love stacking them and rolling them around. I really like the idea of half-burying them to make those ‘dragon’ shapes. Cool!
