I am officially a member of my new church! Yesterday at the early service, I did the ritual of transfer. I’m glad it’s finally happened. It was fun how many people said “Congratulations” and “Welcome”. Hopefully I will learn more names as I go along. There are so many to remember!
After church, the Sunday school kids did their Christmas program. It was delightful. The program was called “The Christmas Piggy”. It was written by a church member who writes extensively for CPH. She has major rhyming skills. The kids did a great job. It was very sweet. They even used a real baby for the Baby Jesus scene. It really made me feel like Christmas is officially coming.
Congratulations! Your new church seems pretty awesome, and I’m glad they are so welcoming!
I watched Deborah’s preschool Sunday School program and it was delightful! You just can’t beat kids telling the Nativity story – so, so charming. 🙂
I can imagine about whom you speak, and she is gifted…but tell us more how the piggy fits into this tail – er – tale?
[And congratulations!! Thought we might see you at your “old” church Saturday afternoon when the Baltimore Choral Arts group sang the closing event for the 150th year – did we miss you, or did you have other events on your schedule?]
Woo hoo! That’s great Brad. Here’s to meeting & making all kinds of new church friends.
Were you the only new member yesterday??
