I went to Bingo Night last night. I took my Rice Krispie treats. Unfortunately, they were hard as rocks. The internet tells me it’s because I packed them down when putting them into the dish. I cut them into smaller pieces so they would break off into peoples’ mouths better, but they were still hard to eat.
The bingo time was really fun. I saw lots of people I knew, including some former students, but the funnest interactions of the evening were with my table mates. We had delicious food and funny conversation. I almost forgot to look at my bingo paper. In the end, it wouldn’t have mattered. I didn’t win anything. None of us did.
Ah, well. Maybe next year…
Next year, everyone brings a pet – they would have as much a chance of winning as any of us had, and the interactions would be interesting, don’t you think? Gus, Maggie, Josie, Binx – yea, that would add even more hilarity to the evening. Without opposable thumbs, however, holding the Bingo dauber would be tricky, but since nobody got more than 4 in a row all night, would it even matter?
Just a thought. But it was great to see everyone and spend time with grownups again.
Still fun!
Did anyone play for a special C P or S Bingo? I didn’t even know that was possible.
Several of us played the Specials. Kris (a former co-worker) got two numbers away from getting an ‘S’. The letters stand for the name of the school.
