Yesterday I worked at school like usual, but not like usual I finished by 1pm. I was at home at 1:30 and had the whole day to myself. Woo hoo!
I decided to go to Homestead Gardens, which is an awesome garden center down by Annapolis.
The place is HUGE!
It was a beautiful day – cool, but sunny. I was looking for heliotrope plants, which I found. I decided not to get them. Instead, I got a few seeds and a canna plant. I’m trying not to go overboard with plant purchases. I have a LOT of cleanup to do before I get to the planting part of things.
Still, it was a lot of fun to look. There were many gorgeous flowers for sale. If I had unlimited money and yard space…

Do canna plants have big, red leaves? Our pastor was talking about some kind of seeds a congregation member gave him, and I think he was talking about canna seeds. (I’m too lazy to google it.)
