Old Phone

Happy Star Wars Day! May the fourth be with you!

My phone has been approaching the end of its usefulness for a while now. The external speakers haven’t worked for more than a year. The camera crashes often and freezes the phone.

Yesterday I hit another obstacle: the memory is full. I was trying to take a picture, and it wouldn’t let me. It said there was no memory available. I will be trying to delete some music or something, but that’s just a stop-gap. I think I won’t be able to delay getting a new phone much longer.

    ….. and altho with you.

Ha! *no photo available* What a clever way to mark the death of your phone. How long have you had it? It sounds like you’ve used it until the bitter end.

    I’m sorry for your lose.

      Sorry for your loose?

Haha! This reminds me of a post on Reddit a few weeks ago where someone tried to correct everyone in regard to “lose” vs. “loose”. They spawned a whole bunch of posts where people used them incorrectly on purpose.

I feel your pain. Never wanting a smartphone myself (or any other device to carry with me so that others may know my every move – yes, I have learned paranoia in my increasing age), when I cracked the face of my 8-year-old Jethro Gibbs- style flip phone, I panicked. Fortunately, Verizon must know there is still a small percentage of us who prefer this style and I was able to get one from the local store for 99 cents – plus the $9/month insurance they are required to assess until the phone is paid for…making it thereby a $216 phone over the duration, but I digress…

    Happy phone shopping then.
