Going Once, Going Twice

Yesterday Sam, Lloyd, and I went to an auction in Lincoln. I really enjoy going to them. They’re so interesting. First of all, it’s fun to look at all the stuff that is available. So much delightful junk! If I didn’t have to take it back by airplane, I’m sure I would have bought several things. Secondly, I really enjoy watching the people there. I even recognized some of them from previous auctions.

Lloyd got some shelves and a chair. Sam got some projectors and a big table that can be filled with water. I wanted a paper cutter, but it went for too much money.

There were a lot more people there than this picture shows, but half of them were outside buying bicycles.

After the auction, we ate at Cracker Barrel with Samith and Lauren, then we all hung out in Lloyd’s computer classroom.

The evening was a cookout at Harold and Beth’s, where I saw my good friend Marie from Hawaii. Talking about Hawaii led Kurt to remember that a shave ice place has opened in Lincoln. I’m so excited! I will definitely be visiting there while I’m here.

In the parking lot I saw a young man trying to fit a bicycle in his back seat (along with lots of other junk). It was fascinating to watch.

It was a great day! Thanks for letting me crash your party, guys. 🙂

People Watching Is An “Event” All It’s Own!! 🙂
