Happy Fourth of July!
Yesterday was Tim’s birthday. He had some friends over during the day, but in the evening, it was time for the adults to celebrate with him. We had some tasty food, then he opened some presents.
Many of the presents were Star Wars themed.
As it got closer to dark, we lit fireworks. I bought a lot of smoker fireworks this year. It was a good decision. One of the rockets that Harold got made pretty sparks in the air, but what was really cool about it was that it left smoke in the grass. Tim went “walking on the moon”. When he stepped on the smoke, it puffed up around his foot like the dust on the moon.
That’s one small step for man…
We ended the evening with some nighttime fireworks. I got all fountains this year. The big ones disappointed me a little. I thought they’d last longer. Maybe I’ll have to run a series of tests to find some better ones.

Happy belated, Tim! Nice moon walking there; ya’d make Michael Jackson jealous, were he still around.
Watch those fireworks, sir! [I worked with a gent at Luther North who lost some finger parts in a celebration gone very wrong and have great respect for/fear of same ever since. ] My ears prefer I stay at home and watch the pretty colors on the TV screen, so that’s what I anticipate doing this evening.
