Fruit of my Labors

I was walking in the garden yesterday and saw apples on the ground. I’ve been seeing lots of green apples on the ground. It’s the squirrels! The stupid squirrels are picking my apples and eating them! Stupid squirrels!

The apples that were on the ground yesterday were red. Maybe they would be edible! I took them inside.

The apples both had sides that were nice looking:

I got some cherry tomatoes too!

They also had sides that were gross looking:

Stupid bugs.

Stupid bugs.

But in the end, I did get some edible pieces. They were slightly sour and not juicy at all. I ate all the pieces because they were actual apples that I actually grew, but if I had gotten them in the grocery store, I would have felt like I wasted my money.

Maybe I could make some kind of dried apple product out of them.

Yes! Dry them! That would be a fascinating adventure! I’ve always wondered about dry grated apple. It would look like sawdust but taste like apple! If you didn’t like it, you could give it to the squirrels and make them really, really thirsty.

    Nice tomatoes, too.
