Patriotic Parking Lot

I worked at school yesterday. I was feeling urgent and lazy at the same time. I got enough done that the morning time before school should be enough to get finish. I’ll be glad once I hit my stride. I still feel like I haven’t shifted out of summer mode entirely. This is a four day week, so maybe it will be enough days to enter school mode permanently.

As I was leaving school, my attention was drawn to the cars in the lot. They belonged to the first grade teacher, to me, and to the Urdu language pastor. The cars were red, white, and blue! Ha!

Nice shade...

Nice shade…

What a very patriotic faculty you have! The only way it could be more patriotic is if they were all trucks. ‘Merican trucks.

I am pleased to see you are a shade-seeker, too.

Why is this week a 4 day week?

For Labor Day weekend, we have Friday and Monday off. It’s a Maryland cultural thing. Around here, everyone goes to the ocean on Labor Day. If we didn’t have Friday off, half the kids would be missing because they’d all be “down the ocean” as they say around here.

Pardon my ignorance but, what is an Urdu language pastor??
Have a great 4 school days in the Lord!!

He’s from Pakistan and ministers to people from Pakistan and northern India, particularly Muslims. I haven’t attended one of the Urdu services yet, mostly because they’re at 6pm on Sunday. I should have done it over the summer. Now I’m too worried about Monday morning to be out on a Sunday evening.
